Dr. Kolker is distinguished as a top Plastic Surgeon in New York Magazine Best Doctors 2010, and in New York Magazine Best Doctors 2008.

A New York City research and information company, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. publishes an annual guidebook titled Top Doctors: New York Metro Area, which lists those whom Castle Connolly has determined to be the top 10 percent of the region’s physicians—more than 6,000 in all. Castle Connolly provides New York Magazine with a shorter version of this list for the magazine’s “Best Doctors” issue. These doctors represent about a quarter of the top 10 percent of New York–area physicians.

Dr. Kolker is distinguished as a top Plastic Surgeon in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors: New York Metro Area 2006, 2007, 2008, and the current 13th Edition for 2009.

Top Doctors New York Metro Area is an annual guidebook listing those whom Castle Connolly has determined to be the top 10 percent of physicians in the region. Doctors are selected based on a peer-review survey. The idea is that medical professionals are best qualified to judge other medical professionals.

PATIENTS’ CHOICE AWARD: 2008, 2009
Dr. Kolker is the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award 2008 and 2009. This award is an honor that reflects the difference a doctor made in people’s lives through the exceptionally high praise granted to a doctor by patients.

Every month, more than 40,000 patients across the U.S. provide online feedback about their experiences with their doctors. They rate various components such as bedside manner, doctor-patient face time, degree of follow-up, courtesy of office staff, and overall opinions. While physicians generally receive positive reviews from their patients, only a select few receive uniformly rave reviews across the board. Of those that receive rave reviews, only the few physicians with near perfect scores have been voted by their patients for this honor.
